Hi, I have had very similar problems... with an USR internal ISA PNP ISDN modem. I haven't resolved it, because I was borrowing it from a friend. Anyway, some of the messages you have there are all too familiar to me. These are the ones I was also getting: ======================================================== unknown: <K56FLEX Plug and Play Faxmodem> can't assign resources unknown: <PNP0000> can't assign resources unknown: <PNP0303> can't assign resources unknown: <PNP0f13> can't assign resources unknown: <PNP0501> can't assign resources unknown: <PNP0700> can't assign resources unknown: <PNP0401> can't assign resources unknown: <PNP0501> can't assign resources isa0: too many dependant configs (8) ======================================================== The similarities between your case and mine are: ISA, PnP, Modem. Obviously this combo causes problems with FreeBSD? Or it might be because FBSD doesn't support these particular modems? Anyway if anyone can explain the reason for the above messages (especially the too many dependant configs one), please let us know. Me, I think I'll just get me a PCI modem instead...
