As of Sun Apr 11 15:45:45 PDT 2004 I'm unable to boot current. The kernel doesn't appear to be able to probe my ata drives anymore hanging off the ATA controller (the drive is PATA, not SATA). I'm unable to boot the kernel that was previously on the machine for one reason or another, and I'm pretty much out of ideas. Things to note: 1) I don't see any drives probed at all 2) An earlier stage of the loader has no problem booting, so the hardware should be good 3) List of GEOM managed disk devices is empty, probably due to 1 If you do reply to this, I'm at limited capacity with this box down at home (blech, using my hotmail account), so could you please CC me. At some point in the future I'll have downloaded an FBSD CD so I can get the kernel config off of the dead box, but right now I'm not able to get much out of it. Also, if anybody has an idea why I can't boot /boot/kernel.old/kernel at all (it locks up in the reading process |/-\| ) I'd appreciate some insight.
