Good Day, Please excuse my ignorance (and cross posting). I have just installed a DPT SmartRaid IV card, and am very happy that FreeBSD finds and uses it with no problems. To simulate drive failure, I have unplugged one of the drives (with the system powered down) and then powered the system up. The raid controllor knows something is amis, and beeps continually during boot. However, I was disapointed not to see any form of error/warning message in the logs. Is there a way to get some feedback? Unfortuantly, the box is being installed remotely, and thus, I cannot hear its wails for help in the event of drive failure... Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. As I am not subscribed to this list at present, could you please mail me and CC the list. Kind Regards, Karl Hanmore Ultranet To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-scsi" in the body of the message
