Hi edenist, thank you for the tip regarding the deactivation some mitigation features in the kernel of the vm. Disabling the kernel module 'spectre_v2' of the VM does not cause the kernel panic: root@host:~ # diff /srv/vmm/alpine/alpine.conf /srv/vmm/alpine/alpine.spectre_v2=3Doff.conf 8c8 < grub_install0=3D"linux /boot/vmlinuz-virt initrd=3D/boot/initramfs-virt alpine_dev=3Dcdrom:iso9660 modules=3Dloop,squashfs,sd-mod,usb-storage,sr-mod" --- > grub_install0=3D"linux /boot/vmlinuz-virt initrd=3D/boot/initramfs-virt s= pectre_v2=3Doff alpine_dev=3Dcdrom:iso9660 modules=3Dloop,squashfs,sd-mod,u= sb-storage,sr-mod" Am Fr., 18.
