Hmmm, interesting. I wonder how stable it is. What we use in production is a script that every minute resolves MAC addresses to ips and refreshes the rules. Yeah, it's a little hokey but it works like a charm. See http://memberwebs.com/nielsen for a tool that does the resolving.
