I'm still having a few problems in getting 3.2 apps like x3arth and
gIDE to launch. The ELF versions of various libraries (like libpng
and libgif) are there--locate finds them. But the elf loader still
chokes.
I rebuild png, now the apps are missing other things. I have run
ldconfig by hand. Anybody know the magic here?

PS: I searched the archives because there were similar questions
posted here, I think... One possible solution is to rebuild
every missing library, but it shouldn't be necessary (?)
