Hi there, can anyone explain why in the FreeBSD version of tar there isn't any --delete option? in the GNU versione of the tar archiving utility we have: --delete delete from the archive (not for use on mag tapes!) (http://unixhelp.ed.ac.uk/CGI/man-cgi?tar) in the FreeBSD version there's nothing similar. (http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=tar) Is there a workaround to make tar deleting a file in the archive (without extracting, deleting, re-tarring) ? Thanx! -- Pietro Cerutti - pietro@sdf.lonestar.org Windows: "Where do you want to go today?" Linux: "Where do you want to go tomorrow?" BSD: "Are you guys coming or what?"
