Sometimes people CC: questions and freebsd-questions.

Otherwise, Mailman sometimes double-posts messages if an error happens, 
depending on the granularity of the list batchsize delivery to SMTP, and how 
the local MTA is configured.  If LMTP was enabled, that might help, or it might 
be something else, too.

I suspect the listserver gets lots and lots of traffic, some of it with weird 
headers, unicode charsets, binary attachments, and who knows how much 
spam/virus traffic, although the lists have seemed to be admirably spam-free 
over the past few months.
