Do you have SIO2 or sio3 enabled?

That's quite true.

You should contact XFree86; FreeBSD does not do anything for XFree other
than portability, of which this isn't a problem most likely.

Contact questions@xfree86.org, and in the meantime keep an eye on
ftp://ftp.xfree86.org for any new betas.
