It always does at least two backups in a row at each incremental level, and only goes on to the next incremental level if it determines that this will reduce the amount of data backed up by a "sufficient" amount. If a lot of data is modified each day, the backup schedule will look like: 0 1 1 2 2 3 3 If the disk is mostly static, the schedule will look like: 0 1 1 1 1 1 1 If you need to do a complete restore, run "amadmin config find host disk" which will tell you what backups are stored on each tape, then restore the latest level 0, and the latest incremental at each level that is newer than the level 0. --- Truck
