Stuff goes through the whole cam device chain if you're using the cd* devices, so you'll have to adjust permissions for the corresponding xpt* and pass* devices just like you would with scsi drives. Example devfs.conf snippet (this is suitable for members of group operator): # Allow cdrom user access perm cd0 0660 perm cd1 0660 perm cd2 0660 # Allow SCSI passthrough/transport user access perm xpt0 0660 perm xpt1 0660 perm xpt2 0660 perm pass0 0660 perm pass1 0660 perm pass2 0660 -- ,_, | Michael Nottebrock | lofi@freebsd.org (/^ ^\) | FreeBSD - The Power to Serve | http://www.freebsd.org \u/ | K Desktop Environment on FreeBSD | http://freebsd.kde.org [-- Attachment #2 --] -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.9.10 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQBBb7rJXhc68WspdLARAkX2AKCpVjivug6G907PZy7BNkHIOgwLOwCdE+B8 DaoCbEJ5NmsXgWp5phGMNR8= =Gh6v -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----help
