>Description:
Lots of packages many people run are missing from:
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-8-stable/All/
Including at minimum:

ImageMagick
firefox
gimp
monotone
mplayer
thunderbird
virtualbox-ose
vlc
wireshark
xorg

Perhaps something broke?
Shouldn't there be infrastructure checks for this
before overwriting a previously good (using some list
of major packages) run on FTP, thus making attempted
installs and trial runs useless for many folks?
