No results : There are already answers in this thread: the ipw driver does not support the intel 3945. However, there is a work-in-progress driver (wpi) at http://people.freebsd.org/%7Eflz/local/wpi/ which I'm using on a Acer Aspire AS5672 laptop with good results. I'm even using WPA encryption. YMMV. For me, the driver only works with acpi disabled, but I think the reason for that have more to do with my laptop and bios /acpi issues.
