Good point. For the linuxulator this has been discussed before and
something in the line off...

	sys/$MACHINE/compat/linux	// MD part
	sys/$MACHINE/compat/others
	sys/compat/linux		// MI part
	sys/compat/others

...came out of it. This also matches where the Linuxulator has its
sysctl variables (= compat.linux.*) and where other emulators are
expected to have their variables.
