getnetbyname() calls one of 3 helper routines

  Please note in the context of this discussion that mountd uses
  getnetbyname(), which is specifically documented to only search
  /etc/networks.  It does, of course, use the DNS.  Perhaps the manpage
  should have been updated when its behaviour was changed?
