If you do:

	% make FORMATS=pdf

in one of the directories for a DocProj document, you should eventually
wind up with (among other things) a PDF file named (in your case)
article.pdf.  article.tex-pdf is a by-product.  You shouldn't have to 
do anything with it explicitly.
