I am trying to install StarOffice 5.2 from the ports and I get the following error stating that I have the wrong version of glibc. I read through the archives and found some things regarding linux being enabled in the kernel. I have the linux_enable flag set to yes in my rc.conf. Is there something else that I need to do? This is the first linux type app I have tried to install so any help would be appreciated. Thanks - Kirk p.s. this is on 4.1.1.STABLE ===> staroffice-5.2 depends on file: /compat/linux/lib/libc.so.6 - found ===> Extracting for staroffice-5.2 >> Checksum OK for staroffice52/soa-5_2-ga-bin-linux-en.bin. >> Checksum OK for staroffice52/so-5_2-ga-bin-linux-en.bin. error: wrong glibc version, you need 2.1.1 *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/editors/staroffice52. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/editors/staroffice52. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/editors/staroffice52. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/editors/staroffice52. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/editors/staroffice52. -- ALAP Technology PO Box 672298 Chugiak, AK - USA 99567 (907) 688 8843 www.alaptech.com Specializing in Open Source Solutions To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
