Hi all,

what is the best way to install software under freebsd, ports (via cvsup) or
precompiled packages ?

recently, for example, i have tried to install xfree 4.0.2 (xfree86-4.0.2_6)
package under my laptop, and i doesn't manage to configure it properly
because there ware missing xkb map...
I didn't try to install it with ports. What is the best ports or packages ?
thanks in advance...
