What are you objecting to? The language or the content? If the latter,
there's some justice to your complaint. I've just scanned back and
realise I did totally miss the mark -- statements that were intended at
the time to be angry but jocular hyperbole do look like somewhat
violent statements. So I retract all those, and offer my apologies if
they've given offense.

If you mean the use of words like "fucking", I won't give an inch there
(you'll just have to block me from the list if you disagree). A few
decades of US corporatocracy and TV doesn't wipe out our centuries-old
right to use our own language, in public, in exactly the way the world's
English-speaking population does use it all the time. And if you think
my language is outside of common norms, you're just not getting out
enough. Believe it or not, most of the world does not consist of
middle-class white guys in suits. We don't have to have their narrow
minority norms foisted upon us.

I won't adapt my language. I *will* agree never to use obviously bad
language, for example words like 'leverage' and 'legendary' and other
such corporate toss-pottery. But swear-words to express anger are
legitimate and appropriate.

True. Again, a rhetorical flourish which was represented pretty poor
judgment on my part. Anyway, I shall shut up about the issue now. This
has been quite enough rant for a technical forum.
