As I recall the Livingston code, a secret length >15 chars will overwrite memory and is NOT checked. Dunno if this is your problem, but in my working life I've seen the code run on HP-UX and Irix and Unixware without much trauma. It's not sysv-specific, though. Barney Wolff <barney@databus.com>
