[-- Attachment #1 --] HI! I was able to get FreeBSD to run with GNOME. The only problem I have now is that GNOME does not display mounted cdrom on the desktop, and also that I can mount the cdrom only once, and once mounted no matter that I type unmount /cdrom or umount /cdrom the message I get is that device is busy, even though I can see that the drive is not being used. How can I get GNOME to display mounted cdrom graphically so that I can simplify mounting/dismounting CDROM's Also how do I install packages from the CD which have .tgz ending to them? Thanks for your help, Mike [-- Attachment #2 --] <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <META content="MSHTML 5.50.4134.600" name=GENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>HI!</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I was able to get FreeBSD to run with GNOME.
