Hi, Currently, rtadvd_enable's default is YES. It means that IPv6 router runs rtadvd(8) by default. This breaks the following description in RFC2461: AdvSendAdvertisements A flag indicating whether or not the router sends periodic Router Advertisements and responds to Router Solicitations. Default: FALSE Note that AdvSendAdvertisements MUST be FALSE by default so that a node will not accidentally start acting as a router unless it is explicitly configured by system management to send Router Advertisements. So, I'll change default value of rtadvd_enable to NO, soon. If you are running rtadvd(8) in your IPv6 router, please make sure to set rtadvd_enable to YES in your /etc/rc.conf. -- Hajimu UMEMOTO @ Internet Mutual Aid Society Yokohama, Japan ume@mahoroba.org ume@bisd.hitachi.co.jp ume@{,jp.}FreeBSD.org http://www.imasy.org/~ume/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-current" in the body of the message
