Hello all! I had problem with FreeBSD 3.0-RELEASE installation on my IBM PC Server 325 with 2 PentiumPro processors. When was booting from boot diskette after message "waiting 15 seconds for SCSI devices to settle" system hung and didn't say anything. I think, problem is in setting my PCI bus into "non-SMP" mode, system said this while it was probing PCI hardware. (If it necessary, I can send more detail description of this computer). To solve this I had to move my HDD into another PC with single processor, install OS, build SMP kernel, and set HDD back into server. After this all works fine. I think it's necessary to include boot diskette into release distribution with SMP support to avoid problems like this. Thanks for GREATEST project!!! Best regards, Vladimir M.
