Thanks for the feedback.  I use GPT ID for mounting in fstab.  Thus, regard=
less
of device type (SATA, SCSI, Virtio SCSI, or VirtIO Serial), it always boot
without modifying the fstab provided that the storage controllers work as
expected.  To me, it's more efficient for testing.
