For what it's worth a recent kernel borked on a make world.  It's a UP
P5-166, root disk mounted normally, second disk w/ two swap files mounted
noatime and softupdates.  Next time I'll see if I can get some kinda crash
dump.  It was one of those not quite immediate panic type things, but
switching VTs took > 30 seconds..
