First, if UBLDR_LOADADDR = 0x40008000 then
you must use
fatload mmc 0:2 0x40008000 ubldr
and
bootelf 0x40008000
(Above, you used 0x40007000.)
You probably need to recompile U-Boot and add
#define CONFIG_API
to the appropriate configuration file for your board.
