One thing not solved by the mesa update is multimedia/mpv locking up the
display when using VAAPI.  Additionally, mpv complains when I use VDPAU (si=
nce
it's emulated by libvdpau-va-gl).

So, since this update enables the use of the vulkan API on Intel graphics
hardware, I have rebuilt miltimedia/mpv with vulkan support.  This also wor=
ks
fine; no more lockups with mpv and somewhat lower CPU usage when using it.

And I can now play vkquake. ;-)
