Dear
Can you let me know why my openoffice 1.1.2 version:
english. can not support chinese font "character". It
could not display and key-in the chinese
character...why?

I done changed the setting in the language setting
(Asian: Chinese), but it still the same. why?

My sistem is Windows 98SE (English version), NJSTAR
communicator or chinese star as the input chinese
character software.

Anymore setting or software i miss? Could you tell me?

I ready need this functions, because some of my
document content chinese font...

I run OpenOffice 1.1.2 writer, then cstar2001, but
chinese characters couldn't be displayed or
previewed,..it just displays some ascii
characters...sometimes no characters at all... so,...
Then, I selects Menu: Tooles-> Options -> Language
Seetings/Language -> 'Enabled' the
AsianLanguageSupport,select 'Chinese Simplified' for
Asian-'Default Language'press [OK] button,. .. tried
input Chinese char again.. still the same thing
happen.
Then, i tried change the AsianTextFont in
Character-setting.. still the problem persist. I tried
with Njstar Communicator 2.30, it displays some ascii
characters too...

If i open documents (which was created by using MSWord
2000 & Cstar2001) using OpenOffice Writer, the chinese
characters can be display and preview correctly !!!
but, if tried to input chinese-char into it, same
problem again...it just display some ascii
characters...

Is there any way to solved this problem ? kindly
advise.
