The BIOS naming means nothing to freebsd (in general). I don't think there's much you can do - device names are based on the order= of=20 probing so if you change which slot on the controller it's connected to it= =20 will change device name. What sort of device in particular? =2D-=20 Daniel O'Connor software and network engineer for Genesis Software - http://www.gsoft.com.au "The nice thing about standards is that there are so many of them to choose from." -- Andrew Tanenbaum GPG Fingerprint - 5596 B766 97C0 0E94 4347 295E E593 DC20 7B3F CE8C --nextPart1424412.NxKnka0FPe Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.6 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQBBqwH95ZPcIHs/zowRAjTPAKCc4Q33cQX0XKljHl1UyG2VN3XDlwCeKnDz yzBL7/4qU3XDiJi5IiFNHf0= =NwV+ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1424412.NxKnka0FPe--
