[cc'd to Luigi Rizzo] Browsing through the Linux kernel code: Soundcard.h: * Use ioctl(fd, OSS_GETVERSION, &int) to get the version number of * the currently active driver. soundcard.h:#define OSS_GETVERSION _SIOR ('M', 118, int) So, what to return on FreeBSD systems when I want to implement it: 0 because the version doesn't say anything? 301 because that's what's defined in /usr/include/machine/soundcard.h on FreeBSD? 030600 because that's the lowest version with the new numbering? 030802 because that's the most current version on Linux? My vote is 030600.
