This e-mail is a bit sparse on details.  I believe there's at least one
known bug relating to dhclient and removable interfaces (sometimes they
don't work and dhclient silently exits), but you could start by telling us
what kind of interface it is, how you configured the system, what tcpdump
tells you about the DHCP exchange, etc.
