I am not very picky on video cards, so maybe someone else will give
fuller advice.  I was lucky enough that various people have given me
several Matrox Millenum and Millenum-II cards.  I stick to these in
Alpha's because they Just Work (even in the picky PWS), and Matrox became
my favorite brand many years ago.
