Hi I have a boot panic (page fault in kernel) which is identical on my very old gateway box (i586 166MHz) and a much newer buildbox. The sources are unadulterated RELENG_6, and the panic happens at boot time when probing the ata disks. Here is a manually copied backtrace: devclass_get_maxunit() ata_boot_attach() run_interrupt_driven_config_hooks() mi_startup() begin() The kernel is a stripped down GENERIC, with the ata devices loaded as modules.
