Let me introduce one of my recent findings;

"The Web-Integrated Software metrics Environment (WISE) is the first
WWW-based project management and metrics system available on the WWW.
WISE is a WWW-based tool that provides a framework for managing software
development projects across the Web. Programmers and managers can log
issue reports, track the status of issues, and view project metrics
using
standard WWW browsers. WISE provides a non-intrusive method to
coordinate project activities and allow software development teams to
view their progress and performance."
This was the description of a project by NASA freely available here:
	http://research.ivv.nasa.gov/projects/WISE/
It uses msql and looks awfully good for something like FreeBSD, but
there might be limitations: (all IMO)
I don't consider FreeBSD a project because, technically speaking, a
project has precisely defined it's start and it's ending dates. The
initiation of the FreeBSD project evidently existed, but the goals seem
very generic, and we don't really want this end. In purely bureaucratic
linings, FreeBSD wouldn't be considered a project.
This makes me think we would have to do modifications on this software
to help in the purpose of enhancing FreeBSD's development (was Jordan
suggesting something like this when someone proposed to shoot him? :-)
). Anyway, we should test this...
comments, suggestions...flames?

	Pedro.
