It must be a bug in that wicked tcsh! a> I'm doing the same here, scp from ssh1 to openssh, and I've found a> that on the openssh machine it shows up a nasty core dropping bug FWIW, it works perfectly fine for me. On a BSD/OS machine running "SSH Version 1.2.26 [i386-unknown-bsdi4.0], protocol version 1.5." connecting via ssh to a FreeBSD machine running "SSH Version OpenSSH-1.2.2, protocol version 1.5.", with my shell being "tcsh 6.09.00 (Astron) 1999-08-16 (i386-intel-FreeBSD)" from the 3.3 package installation, it works just fine. No errors. Just a warning about keysize being 1023 rather than 1024 bits, which is probably an old bug from the original ssh keygen routine. -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Vivek Khera, Ph.D. Khera Communications, Inc.
