A rebuild every night generally isn't necessary. Some of those security advisories might not apply to you. Some of them are things you might not consider a serious danger to your site given your userbase. It's nice not to be forced to update on every advisory that comes out. But if something *does* affect you, having an efficient way to update all the systems isn't such a bad thing.
