Hello, I tried to test sniffit on my machine: (sniffit -t my.comp.u.ter), but it didn't give me any output on my console. I made sure that everything is correctly set up, I am root, bpf is configured in my kernel, kern.securelevel=0, etc. I tried it several times with any kind of option, but it still didn't work. Later on, I found th file ~/sniffit.core, but it seems that it is a binary. I thought that was the output, but sniffit didn't write to it, when I tried it again. I'm now a little confused. What am I doing wrong? How can I make sniffit create a human-readable output on my console? Is sniffit.core an ouput file? If yes, how can I read it? Any thoughts are kindly appreciated. -- - Moritz Keep Lynx alive!
