Hi Richard, > So, basically, you upgraded your entire operating system because it was > easier than reading the manual and editing two or three lines into a text > file? I did read the manual and found the /etc/pccard.conf reference. I've tried several combinations and I couldn't get it to work. At the end of the email you'll see the dmesg output for the card with the latest 5.1 release. Compare it with my original email and see the difference ;) > This is not the way to learn ... I normally would agree with you, but I didn't take this step out of laziness. I did read the manual, Googled around for people with similar problems and so forth. And still, not working. So I take this comment to be a constructive note, more than easy criticism. > PS: You didn't upgrade your kernel, you upgraded your entire operating system > and all executables, unless I miss the mark. Just for accuracy's sake ... OK, you are right that I didn't mention about the binaries. But who would forget to compile and install those when he/she reads the manual?
