Hi Richard, > So, basically, you upgraded your entire operating system because it was=20 > easier than reading the manual and editing two or three lines into a text=20 > file? I did read the manual and found the /etc/pccard.conf reference. I've tried several combinations and I couldn't get it to work. At the end of the email you'll see the dmesg output for the card with the latest 5.1 release. Compare=20 it with my original email and see the difference ;) > This is not the way to learn ... I normally would agree with you, but I didn't take this step out of laziness. I did read the manual, Googled around for people with similar problems and=20 so forth. And still, not working. So I take this comment to be a constructive note, more than easy criticism. > PS: You didn't upgrade your kernel, you upgraded your entire operating system=20 > and all executables, unless I miss the mark. Just for accuracy's sake ... OK, you are right that I didn't mention about the binaries. But who would forget to compile and install those when he/she reads the manual?
