With some handholding (thanks, EricC!) and a fresh cvsup from this AM (1/3), I'm now totally Elf from an aout system last built on July 12th. /home/dob: file /kernel /kernel: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (FreeBSD), dynamically linked, not stripped /home/dob: cat /etc/objformat OBJFORMAT=elf /home/dob: file /bin/cat /bin/cat: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (FreeBSD), statically linked, stripped I second what someone else had written earlier: "aout-to-elf-build is your friend!"
