I have same problem on Acer V3-772G (Pegatron VA70HW rev 2.0) with FreeBSD =
10,
11,12 - no sound and message from kernel "pcm0: ...... play interrupt timeo=
ut,
channel dead".=20
This codec works fine with Azalia driver on NetBSD or OpenBSD.
Please try sysctl dev.hdac.0.polling=3D1, this setting helps some people do=
 this
codec works.
