The integrated ethernet interface (gem0) on a Powermac G5 becomes unstable
under heavy load. Syslog:

Oct 1 11:18:24 G5 kernel: gem0: device timeout
Oct 1 11:18:24 G5 kernel: gem0: link state changed to DOWN
Oct 1 11:18:26 G5 kernel: gem0: link state changed to UP
