The following reply was made to PR kern/6914; it has been noted by GNATS. From: sysadmin@mfn.org To: freebsd-gnats-submit@freebsd.org, froden@bigblue.no Cc: Subject: Re:kern/6914:FreeBSD2.2.6-RELEASEandNFSisUNSTABLE Date: Thu, 24 Dec 1998 20:03:44 -0600 (CST) We have noticed this as well, under 2.2.5-R. The only indication we ahve seen *reliably* is that the NFS clients seem to hang in state NFSAIO. In addition, we have noticed a great deal of "nfs server ... not responding" messages which are *immediately* followed by "nfs server ok" messages. These appear so fast as to have the same timestamps, yet the clients are still in NFSAIO, and the file systems are unresponsive.
