The ports tree could contain various ways of
testing for FreeBSD vs. various downstreams,
not just this example, all based on similar
known differences.

Thus, having all the *-dev packages in the
poudriere jail may be easier than trying to
deal with finding all the problems for what
you happend to build --and trying to find
alternative solutions for all such
ports that you find that have such issues.

Or, maybe, just add more *-dev's to the jail
in order to fix each issue as you find such
a problem?
