Recent FreeBSD 13 and 14 can boot the kernel from an arbitrary mem= ory address and don't require copying. Your output shows that it didn't copy the kernel "(not copying)", so I suspect the problem is somewhere else. Does your computer freeze, or does it continue booting without any further output showing up?
