I believe you need to change the Protocol line in /etc/ssh/sshd_config (near the top): Protocol 2 I usually just follow Marty Schlacter's IPFilter/Firewall doc which can be found here http://www.defcon1.org/~ghostrdr/FreeBSD-STABLE_and_IPFILTER.html for instance.
