Hello, A quick report about this device under FreeBSD. The device is a DVB-T (or Digital Terrestial TV) adapter with a USB interface. More info here: http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/uk/Products/Consumer+Products/PCTV+Tuners/PCTV+Digital+PVR+(DVB-S_DVB-T)/PCTV+USB+Stick.htm This is what I see when I plug it into a FreeBSD machine: root@kg-quiet# uname -a FreeBSD kg-quiet.kg4.no 6.1-PRERELEASE FreeBSD 6.1-PRERELEASE #4: Sat Mar 11 20:32:20 CET 2006 root@kg-quiet.kg4.no:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/QUIET amd64 >From /var/log/messages: Apr 23 00:26:20 kg-quiet kernel: ugen0: vendor 0xeb1a USB 2870 Device, rev 2.00/1.00, addr 2 >From 'usbdevs -v': port 5 addr 2: high speed, power 500 mA, config 1, USB 2870 Device(0x2870), vendor 0xeb1a(0xeb1a), rev 1.00 In another machine: root@kg-work# uname -a FreeBSD kg-work.kg4.no 5.5-PRERELEASE FreeBSD 5.5-PRERELEASE #6: Sat Mar 11 18:50:33 CET 2006 root@kg-work.kg4.no:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/SS51G i386 >From /var/log/messages: Apr 23 00:34:53 kg-work kernel: ugen0: vendor 0xeb1a USB 2870 Device, rev 2.00/1.00, addr 2 >From 'usbdevs -v': port 6 addr 2: high speed, power 500 mA, config 1, USB 2870 Device(0x2870), vendor 0xeb1a(0xeb1a), rev 1.00 Currently, I do not know about any software / driver that will make this device work under FreeBSD (or any other BSD, or Linux for that matter). -- Regards, Torfinn Ingolfsen, Norway
