Just assign them ip addresses something like 192.168.1.2/255.255.255.0 and 192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0 and they should be talking to each other. You'll need to use nfs, or set up one as a ftp server and the other a client. FTPd is installed, but not enabled, by default. Maybe others will have more ideas, or know how to use the serial ports and a null modem cable (I don't).
