Adaptec has released a EPP (enhanced parallel port) to SCSI converter 
with a cable that goes from the parallel port directly to a SCSI device. 
The thing costs $229 Aus (under $300 US)

Software is included, although I have heard of no support for any UNIX 
platform. Has anyone looked into drivers for this product ?
