> Now if we could only get a licence to distribute binary releases ... :/ We (members of the FreeBSD/JDK team) have signed licenses that allow us to make 'WWW' binary releases (the older license was a bit more stringent, but made it so I feel comfortable enough making public binary releases). However, building a version of the JDK that has Motif included in it (which now has to be done inside a shared library) requires that a custom version of Motif be built, in order to fully satisfy the Motif licensing issues. Using LessTif is not an acceptable solution. This was what stopped me in August/September of last year, and there has been no progress since then...
