The chipset used in ThinkPad X30 implements only USB v 1.1 as far as I know,
so that's not the problem for sure. I think I've already seen slowish USB
throughput on some other FreeBSD notebooks before (ThinkPad 770, ThinkPad
600E), but didnt bother then...
